This theme consists of three interdependent studies that focus on the crisis management capacities of the European Commission, European Council and the Council of the European Union, of the European Parliament, and of EU-level agencies. To advance our understanding of the crisis management capacities of EU-level institutions, these studies offer
- Analysis of political leadership by directly elected, nominated and appointed individuals
- Assessment of alternative sources of legitimacy in the eyes of citizens
- Production of a database of informal agenda-setting power by the European Parliament
- A database containing biographical and survey information regarding agency leadership
Project co-ordinators: Stockholm University; ThinkEuropa; IBEI
